Erne River Lodges

(4* Failte Ireland) Three Scandinavian style lodges (all with OUTDOOR HOT-TUBS) on the banks of the River Erne. Contemporary living in a rustic setting. Two bedroom/two bathroom (each with electric shower), sleeps up to six comfortably (double sofa-bed in lounge).

The lodges have a large open plan living/kitchen/dining area and come equipped with all mod cons incl. LCD TV (living room & both bedrooms), DVD, stereo, surround sound, cable TV, wood burning stove and outdoor hot-tub.

There are three balconies (two covered) offering river and/or forest views, a gas BBQ and gas patio-heater. For those with young children there is a travel-cot, high-chair and a selection of children's DVDs.

The lodges come with direct access to the River Erne for fishing, boating/watersports and swimming. Golfers can enjoy the nearby Belturbet Golf Course (2km) or the Slieve Russell Hotel and Championship Golf Course (8km). There is also horse-riding and trail-walking close by, and Cavan town offering all the attractions of a major regional town is a 10-15 min drive away.

The town of Belturbet (2km) offers a range of traditional pubs and nightly entertainment. For fine dining, why not try the Slieve Russell Hotel or the Radisson SAS Farnham Estate (Cavan Town). Belturbet is just over 1 and half hours drive from Dublin and home to the Emerald Star cruise line.
