A warm welcome awaits you at Highland Heather Lodges where we offer superbly appointed luxury self-catering holiday accommodation. Stylishly constructed from natural timber and stone by local craftsmen these new architect-designed luxury lodges lie in the beautiful valley of Strathearn on the Highland Line which divides the Scottish Lowlands from the Highlands and are at the gateway to the magnificent scenery of the Trossachs and the Loch Lomond National Park
The lodges are within reach of a number of attractions including stately homes and distilleries. Auchingarrich Wildlife Park is nearby and also Blair Drummond Safari Park, offering a memorable day out for the whole family. There are many excellent local golf courses including the famous Gleneagles with its three championship courses (venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup) which at certain times of the year is on a two for one ticket.
Also available are water sports and sailing at Loch Earn, where the owners can arrange salmon and trout fishing and the use of the Crieff Hydro leisure facilities on request.
The Highland Heather Lodges have been designed for the 21st century with every convenience in mind and all have bright, luxurious and very stylish comfortable interiors. The one and two bedroom lodges have open plan living/dining room/kitchens, utility room, wet rooms.
All lodges have full kitchens with dishwashers and microwaves and gas central heating. Auto washer/dryer, colour TV, video/DVD sound system are also supplied.
The one bedroom lodge has a gallery bedroom with magnificent views and an outside hot tub. Both lodges have decks in picturesque shared grounds with furniture and gas barbeques, and now both of our two bedroom lodges come with an outdoor hot tub.
An outdoor timber cabin contains an infra red sauna which offers remarkable healing benefits.
The lodges can be booked separately as a one bedroom or two bedroom or linked together with double interconnecting doors which opens to allow one three bedroom lodge accommodating six in comfort.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Highland Heathers Nursery and Plant Centre was started in 1989 as a family business by John and Elaine Davidson and the house was built in 1745 at the time of the Jacobite rebellion. During the 19th century the house was a staging post and watering hole for stagecoaches. At the turn of the 20th century it was a Dairy Farm then a Fruit Farm and then a Pig Farm until when in the 1960’s it became a small heather nursery. Over the years the nursery has grown and now has a Garden Centre, Shop and a small Art Gallery with paintings by local artists.
The nursery nestles deep in rural Perthshire where the Highlands truly begin at the confluence of three rivers, the Earn, the Ruchill and the Lednock with views of the surrounding hills but only 1 mile from the centre of Comrie.
We have 10 acre native oak woodland which is popular for walking and a Druid temple excavated in the early 1900’s where many of the artefacts can be found in the museum in Perth.
Situated in gloriously peaceful countryside adjacent to Highland Heathers Nursery, the self-catering luxury lodges stand in a sheltered valley a few miles from the lovely market town of Crieff and the fair city of Perth.
This is truly the place to be for RELAXING, UNWINDING & ENJOYING.
