The Adur Festival in June features local resident and guitar virtuoso Richard Durrant, music from punk rock and jazz to flamenco and classical and special events for children. Painters, sculptors, silversmiths and textile artists open their doors during Lewes Artwave every September to showcase their talents.

Arundel Festival is a 10 days long festival. It doesn’t outstay its welcome and leaves you wanting more. With Arundel Castle as a backdrop, its carefully chosen events offer something for everyone, from opera buffs to pop pickers. Rye is a picturesque setting for a festival too, and has over 50 events in a fortnight every September. Petworth boasts an international programme featuring world-class performers. The Paramount Brighton Comedy Festival in October features the most talented performers in comedy today, from big names like Bill Bailey, Jo Brand and Paul Merton to stars of the future.
